Gravity Forms eWAY Pro supports token payments

Gravity Forms eWAY Pro v1.1.0 has just been released. This is a big release that introduces support for Token Payments and remembered cards, along with a number of other fixes and enhancements.

Gravity Forms minimum version

The minimum required version of Gravity Forms is now 2.0, which provides some additional features that are now used by this add-on.

Token Payments

Support for eWAY’s Token Payments has been added, so you can now ask eWAY to remember customers for you. This can be used to let customers make payments faster with eWAY by entering only their three or four digit security code from their card. Customers must be logged in to make use of that functionality, and the credit card details are never recorded in your WordPress website.

Remembered cards in the Customer Tokens field

In addition, you can now create forms that just create new eWAY token customers, without billing anything. This is a great way to create a private club that you can manually bill for new products or services. For example, if your club members can receive a new box of wine twice a year, you can bill them directly from MYeWAY when you pack and dispatch the boxes. You can leave it up to eWAY to securely store the credit card details!

Notification Events

Forms that use the Responsive Shared Page now have an easier way to configure notifications. In addition to the standard form submitted events, notifications can now be triggered by the following events:

  • Payment Completed — payment was successfully captured
  • Payment Pending — payment was successfully authorised (and can be completed in MYeWAY)
  • Payment Failed — payment failed or was cancelled by the customer

Forms that were created using the old method of delayed notifications will still work, for now; however, it is recommended that they be upgraded to use the new notification events instead since they are clearer and have better support within Gravity Forms.

You can update to the latest version from your WordPress plugin admin page. Here’s the full changelog for Gravity Forms eWAY Pro.
