Gravity Forms Eway v2.5.0 has just been released. This release fixes a fatal error on Recurring field invalid dates; is compatible with GF 2.7 honeypot enhancements; has additional logging for troubleshooting; requires PHP 7.3+.
PHP 7.3+
This version now requires PHP 7.3 or later. The plugin has had a code refresh with some features now requiring more modern PHP. I’d have liked to bump it to PHP 7.4, but some customers are still stuck on PHP 7.3 due to legacy code in their systems. At some point in the future, the minimum version will be increased to 8.0, so please prepare to update your systems.
Fatal error in Recurring field
Some websites were experiencing a fatal error with the Recurring field, due to invalid date data. Now fixed.
Honeypot enhancements
Gravity Forms 2.7 brought us some very welcome enhancements to the honeypot field. The honeypot helps detect spam submissions, and the enhanced version is much better at detecting spam. This release ensures that submissions detected as spam aren’t sent to Eway.
Additional logging
Some additional logging has been added, to help troubleshoot some problems seen on websites where transactions are successful, but no Gravity Forms entry is recorded. Please enable logging for Gravity Forms and this add-on if you are experiencing this problem.
You can update to the latest version from your WordPress plugin admin page. Here’s the full changelog for Gravity Forms Eway.
